1. Safe and clean experience for my client This will include how to have clean brushes for everyone, single use sponges, stencil, sanitation, use of glitter, and no double dipping.
2. The art of cleaning your brushes and in depth explanation of how to wash brushes on the job how to deal with brush use high volume clients , why investing in brushes is important how to repair a brush and alternative on the job cleaning methods.
3. Stencil, sanitation, and care: This will include how to wash and store your stencils safely.
4. Face Paint kit, hygiene: This will be an in-depth look on how to keep your kit tidy on the job , why first impressions matter, how to not double dip on the job.
5. How to say no paint for you:
   1. Options and ideas of how to say no to clients when they have unpaintable skin, are visibly sick or do not wish to be paint.
   2. And the stuff people dont yes dont think about on the job to keep ourselves safe and sanitary.

Meet the Instructor

Mandy Paavola is a Canadian face and body painting artist, entrepreneur, and joy maker. She is married, has two teenagers, and shares her home with three cats. Her favorite color is hot pink, and bringing happiness to others is at the heart of everything she does.

Mandy has been running her own business for over 20 years. Art has always played a huge role in her lifeshe has always painted and created magic with the intention of making people smile. Her business is rooted in joy, and her journey to where she is today has been a fun and winding road.

She graduated from high school in 1998 and went on to earn a bachelors degree from the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC. While this allowed her to fully focus on art, she discovered that she deeply loved the human connection that makeup artistry provided. In the mid-2000s, she attended the Makeup Certificate Program at Complexions International in Toronto, Ontario, which helped her gain clarity on who she is and what she wanted to do for a living.

Mandy worked hard to build her portfolio and gained experience in the film industry in Vancouver, BC. Life eventually shifted when she had her first and then second child, leading her family to relocate to Northern BC. While continuing to work in makeup, she realized that prioritizing her children was essential, and this naturally led her into face painting. She had always paintedbut now her canvas breathes.

There is something truly magical about face painting. Mandy creates core memories for the youngest members of her community. She has built a strong social media following and loves helping and supporting other face painters. She is incredibly passionate about safety and sanitation, making client safety one of her top priorities and a topic she speaks about often.

Mandy loves creating her own rainbow cakes, and if she can add glitter to a design, it brings her extra joy.

Being an entrepreneur is a challenging lifestyle, but Mandy thrives on challenges. She also loves inspiring others and hopes that her story and work can inspire you in some way.

1. Is this a live session or pre-recorded?
Answer:This is a live session. Please check the Zoom details after purchase or refer to the product image for the time and date of the masterclass.
2. Do I need to create an account on Facepaint.com?
Answer:Yes, make sure that the email address on your Facepaint.com account matches the one you used on the day you purchased the masterclass.
3. Can I speak during the class?
Answer:Upon entering the Zoom session, all students will be muted. However, you are allowed to speaksimply raise your hand using the emoji in Zoom. When the moderator notices, they will unmute you. Please make sure that your question or comment is relevant to the instructors demonstration.
Once the class is over, if there is still time, the moderator will allow everyone to speak, ask questions, share opinions, and express gratitude to the instructor and fellow face painters.
4. Will I be able to ask questions?
Answer:Yes, you can ask questions during the class, but you must type them in the chat. The moderator will read them aloud for the instructor and students. The instructor will answer them right away. Please ensure your questions are related to the instructors demonstration to avoid distractions and make the best use of time.
5. If I leave during the class, will I be able to rejoin?
Answer:Yes, as long as the class is still ongoing.If you try to rejoin after the scheduled time, you will not be able to access the Zoom link as it will have expired.
6. How do I access the masterclass recordings?
Answer: Ensure You Have a Facepaint.com Account: Please make sure you already have an account on our Facepaint.com website. Use the Same Email Address: The email address you used on the day you purchased the product should be the same one you use to log in to our website. This ensures your access to the class. Go to the Members Area: Once logged in, navigate to the MEMBERS AREA, which is under the Masterclasses tab, where you will find the recorded masterclass videos. You can watch and rewatch them at your convenience!
7. How long will it take for the recorded masterclass to be available on the website?
Answer:Please allow up to 24 hours for the recorded masterclass to be accessible at your convenience.
8. How will I know when the recorded masterclass is available on the website?
Answer:You will receive an email notification once the video has been uploaded.
9. What if I have trouble logging in or accessing the recordings?
Answer: Double-check that you are logging in with the same email address you used to purchase the masterclass. It must be the same to ensure you can access the recordings. Check your internet connection.
