The F-104 Starfighter took flight in 1954 and since its development has achieved many stellar feats and achievements. Featuring an innovative design by Clarence “Kelly” Johnson, and boasting an XJ79 engine, the Starfighter surpassed the world’s altitude record in 1958, as well as the air-speed record of the era, with many of its records still unmatched to this day. Used to train astronauts as well as serving during the Vietnam and Cold Wars, the Starfighter has endured a 50+ career serving 15 nations and continues operations to this day. This version, the USAF F-104C Starfighter, saw its first action in the Vietnam War. This kit contains transparent and plastic parts for a faithful recreation of the F-104C, with four finishing options in 1/72 scale. The fully assembled model is 22.1cm long and 5.6cm tall.
