Fanewick is a place of great abundance and peacedangerous to those unfamiliar with the land, but a cornucopia to those who respected its ways. Haven, the great bastion of civilization, stands with tall walls and great hunters against the wild nature of the world beyond. In this world, mankind lives with the wilderness held at arm’s length.

When the Serpents Sickness first began spreading through the streets of Haven, you watched as friends, loved ones, and enemies alike fell to the strange disease. First, victims cough up dust. Soon after, their skin breaks out in a scaling rash. Finally, their body hardensfirst the flesh, bones, and soft tissue, spreading until, finally, their organs ossify. Eventually, victims petrify where they stand.

The only known cure for the Serpents Sickness is a rare red flower known as the Crimson Ladys Veil, which grows prolifically across Fanewick in the spring. When the first symptoms of the Serpents Sickness appeared among your loved ones, you knew that it was your turn to leave the city of Haven behind to hunt for one of these elusive flowers.

Join your party on a hunt for the Crimson Ladys Veil in the wilds of Fanewick; resist the Withering and ensure you return home to save your loved ones from a terrible fate; and if you can still find the beauty in it, behold the incredible power of the Faint Divinities.

MEET THE DM: Hello! My name is Kit. I’ve been playing 5e since 2014 and have been running other game systems for well over a decade. I run light, somewhat goofy, rule-of-cool tables with a focus on fun; I love when players try something unexpected, and I heartily welcome out-of-the-box thinking at the table.
