Designed for 35 players aged 10 and up, Rent a Hero is a fast-paced card game of bluffing, deduction, and tactical decision-making. Your objective: be the first to recruit six unique heroes to your cause. But with each hero’s identity concealed and only limited information at your disposal, will you make the right call?

Gameplay Overview

Each turn, players pass a face-down cardthe Vagabond Heroto the next player, who must decide to:

• Recruit: Add the hero to their band if they don’t already have that hero.
• Pass: Send the Vagabond Hero to the next player.
• Seek Clues: Exchange a card from their hand to ask if it matches the Vagabond Hero.
• Use a Hero Power: Activate a unique ability from their recruited heroes.

But caution is keyrecruiting a duplicate hero results in both being eliminated from your band!

Unique Hero Powers

Each of the seven heroes possesses a distinct power that can be used once per game:

• Angry Chicken (1): Nullify another hero’s ability.
• Pyromaniac (2): Discard the Vagabond Hero.
• Witch (3): Refresh a used hero’s power.
• Dog Trainer (4): Prevent a player from recruiting.
• Sergeant (5): Peek at the Vagabond Hero.
• Black Knight (6): Ignore strength requirements when sending a hero.
• Wizard (7): Draw two additional cards.
